about

No Place Like Home Family Shelter was formed on May 1, 2021, as a Non-Profit Organization under Tennessee state laws and headed by Tracy Crenshaw.  The shelter was formed to help house and educate mothers with children that have been living on the street due to some unfortunate incident.

The shelter is for homeless woman and children to keep them off the street or keep them from living in their vehicles. All clients will receive fair housing, education, technical skills, job/interview training, budgeting classes, homeownership classes, parenting classes and as well as counseling.

The shelter was developed to help provide a safe place and help to rebuild their lives. Even though we know each client’s situation is different, we offer programs to each family according to their situation and needs. Each family will get their own goal plan and will be re-evaluated after 90 days to see what goals each family has completed. The families will be evaluated every 90 days to see what needs and goals have been meet. Each family is given a 2-year plan, if the families need more time, administration will then re-evaluate to see what the families greatest need for them to complete the programs and go through the homeownership course. The shelter will give each family food, shelter, clothing as well as what each family is in need for them to complete the program.
